โThe ball ricocheted off the wall and hit a young girl in the nose. Immediately, I went straight to the hospital and saw her with bloody nose and bloody clothes,” Gayle, who represented RCB in seven IPL seasons from 2011 to 2017, told former India batsman Robin Uthappa on the โHome of Heroesโ show on JioCinema.
“She was like, โwhy are you sad? Donโt worry, hit more sixes!โ That was so amazing man! She helped me feel better by telling me that even when sheโs in pain, she wanted me to hit more sixes,” Gayle said on the show.
“It was a touching moment. The next game, every fan had a placard saying, โplease break my noseโ, so I could go visit them in the hospital.โ
Besides RCB, Gayle has also represented Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.
